Environmentalism. We've heard the term, but what, exactly, does it mean?
In a nutshell, it means the advocacy of the preservation, restoration,
or improvement of the natural environment, or the environment around us.
Ok, so what's the big deal? The Earth has been through alot more than
a few billion people.
Well, Environmentalism helps these few billion people not only have cleaner
places to live in, but also helps preserve the nature that surrounds them,
that allowed them to have the things they do today. So, basically, if we learn
to practice a touch of Environmentalism, we'll extend the life that we have,
and the regenrating resources that the Earth provides for us.
You're joking. Save the PLANET? The Earth has been through everything from
catestrophic earthquakes, to meteorite bombardment, and you're asking us to
save the planet?! We can't even help ourselves yet!
Then this is a step in the right direction for saving ourselves.
More people die each year because of environmentally related ailments
than any other 'naturally caused' phenomenon. By this, I mean:
More people die of air pollution related Asthma, then they do by
earthquakes, fires, tsunamis and hurricanes...combined.
Ok fine.. but what can only one person do?
